Re: W.T.K, two 10" or four 8"?

Yes quite right......thats why at the end I said provided that the amp match the specs of the speakers or vice versa. My amp I used for that set up had switchable modes so (2,3,4).

I could only see the chasis as a ground to be a 'bad' or disfunctional ground if yuh chasis shake down or rotten down.

Re: W.T.K, two 10" or four 8"?

What I have done in the past is bridge 2 speakers and one 8" together, i.e all positive wires coming out from each speaker are joined together, all negative wires are done the same and the positive wires go into the POSTIVE speaker input on CHANNEL 1 and the NEGATIVE wires go into the NEGATIVE ...

Re: Using a vehicle's chassis\frame as a ground or ...

I always use the vehicles chasis and the system has functioned normally and performed well every time. No worries whatsoever with grounding to the chasis. Will continue to do so unless I see some facts about advantages of running a ground from the negative battery terminal.

Re: W.T.K, two 10" or four 8"?

To be quite honest, my current system is decent. I just want more. I currently have two 8" Ciare with two tweeters on the back and the factory speakers in the front doors playing off the deck power. People can hardly believe that its just two 8" in my system. But I have a 4 channel Quantum...

W.T.K, two 10" or four 8"?

I have plans of putting a nice system in my car, infact, upgrading my system from two 8" on my back dash to either two 10" or four 8". What I would like feedback on is what might be or what is the better application. Brand of speakers to be used are Ciare. Any suggestions, views, opin...

Is not about cheap ting eh, is bout my pocket too and I have not been offered an Alpine. My choices have boiled down to a Pioneer and a Soundstream. But I have been convinced and I have had past experiences with Pioneer so thats my direction. Thanks fellow tuners.

How good is Soundstream in terms of DVD decks? Was offered a really nice one. Its a Soundstream VIR-7840. Has almost everything in it and most importantly everything that I want but there is also a Pioneer that is up for grabs (think its the P4900 DVD). I know Pioneer is really good from my past exp...

Re: flicking lights

When your amps pulling plenty current, especially if is a monoblock, that happens. That is normal. Get a voltmeter and if it drops below 12v with the music jamming, then you should consider installing another battery.

Re: help with my amp (greatly needed)

Check and ensure that the ground and power wires are properly attrached to the battery terminals, and then the terminals to the battery poles. You dont want anything to be slack.
