cooling an intercooler

So some people supplement this with this spray on the intercooler. what is it? can a redirected winshield washer fluid system be substituted? spraying water on the i...

I hope the first thing you did after putting back on the cable was to rock yourself a good slap! Something so simple you should have caught a long time ago. Let me reassure you that at least one of those places you took your car to, probably noticed that but said nothing. I hope you learn something...

Tranny problem solved!! and spent no money

in a previous post i complained about my tranny in my A4 taking too long to change gears. I was told by as much as three mechanics i need to pull it down and do a rebuild, which may have cost as much as $20,000.00. Then i was also told i need to change my throttle sensor, or i need to do over the en...

this may seem a bit simple but.,..Loco have you tried reseting the tranny ecu by unplugging the battery for a while ? I know with my car, the ecu learns the driving patterns of the driver and adapts its gearing ratios to suit. It could be the same with yours. Not too sure though. tried it, no luck....

is it an adaptive tiptronic ? those #$@#$% adaptive tiptronics are a real pain since if you drive around city they think you are a granny driver so they start to do a shift/response pattern like a granny. The only way to clear it is to go floor it on the highway and run out the gears or the dealers...

need a good Audi mechanic up north

assuming there are, no one seems able to sort out my tranny problem!! everyone quick to say they need to pull down the tranny. Thing is the gears change well, car runs smoothly, but the tranny takes to long to shift gradually increasing as the gears run out, but on highway it works well. All electro...

Wastegate stuck open? If the wastegate actuator arm broke it would just flop open and allow enough gas around the turbine that it barely spools up. Youre not hearing any air leaks between the turbo and throttle body are you? Would be nice if you have a boost/vac gauge in there aye, thanks!! checked...

how do you tell if a ball joint is good or bad?

took down control arms form my car yesterday. The joints are a bit slack, if moved from side to side they sometimes move back to the centre, but slowly. There is no shake in it, but i was told it was bad by one mechanic, the other said it's halfway out, the other said once there is no shake in it,re...
