Re: Concrete floor re-surfacing options

I know someone who bought clay tiles recently. It was for a large covered patio area and the factory they bought it from advised them that they could use mortar (just cement, sand and some poly v added) instead of thinset to lower costs. It's only been a few months but it's holding up so far. To Ti...

Re: Jhandis in T&T

Is this why some muslim people refuse to eat food made by Hindu establishments selling vegetarian food for Divali? Imagine if other people thought prayers over food by other religions was "devil ting", what would happen to companies selling halal chicken? they say they can buy the vege fo...

Re: Riots in Ferguson again Officer not indicted- Live on CN

There is a grey area between those who are anarchists and loot, and those who feel aggrieved for the perceived injustice (although I believe the grand jury saw no evidence to incite the officer, thus his actions were just). People loot and protest for many reasons, don't cloud the event with broad ...

Re: Jhandis in T&T

Brothers are you pseudo-Hindus? We must learn to embrace our religion with our idol worship. It is what it is, do not be ashamed. It is how we focus our devotion to our gods.

AdamB would call a spade, used to dig a hole for a Jhandi, an idol.

Don't they just stick it in d ground? Anything special has to be put in the hole if it is necessary?

I have 2 questions:
1. Is idolatry a good thing?
2. Is tolerance for idolatry a noble quality?

Re: ISIS in T&T?

Hmmm, interesting...why doesn't Britain have similar problems with their colonies? Is it that they treat them like citizens of one big "Commonwealth", respecting the rights of different races and religions? How does France measure up?

The US is a society of immigrants.

If scripture is not to be taken literally, then how is it to be taken and understood? What is the purpose of it then? What you are saying is that no one will know what it really means unless they themselves are "divinely inspired". Now that's unreasonable. So Muslims should all have slave...

It seems as if Adamb has fallen victim to Allah, the great deceiver (khayru al-makireen) (yes google it) You're a self proclaimed Islamic Fundamentalist, further discussion with you is futile, and may warrant a fatwa on my head.
