bought a 1nz from firm its like a week old and i doin like 500kms and still got a quarter tank left. .(a mixture of short runs/hiway, a/c, no a/c.) no redlines since it new :( i will run it down and do another full up and mileage check any let yall know whats going on...i aiming for a 700kms on a ta...

breds if u can change the tyres try dat b4 u change any wheel bearing......those proxes are known to get very noisy with age(i use them) and makes that same noise you describe.

darkcloud u keep sayin how u never remove the shield to see a "belt" in your posts..... there is no belt behind the metal shield...its a timing chain.... that never has to be replaced..it will last the lifetime of the car the only belt on the 3zz is the one that wraps around the a/c comp, alternator...

breds jus get the parts by toyota if u must.....and change them home..... u can do oil changes home, filters....brakes...wiperblades....no rocket science.... i do it all at home on my 3zz....get some tools....better u do it than some young boy in a garage that dont care sh#% about your car... ofcour...

nah man.....it take me bout 10mins......

plus you dont have to take out the back rest to change the fuel filter...jus the seat...and the seat requires no tools...jus pull up and out.

fellas if my 3zz makin 400kms on $80 super that mean i should get 500kms on $100 super........and that is short runs ! which IMO is very good economy.... why the heck yall using premium!!! all gas in unleaded now ! if u worry bout dutty gas jus full up in a quick shop that has the plastic tanks inst...

oh gosh fellas i said it already i get 400kms on $80 super in the 3zz (thats from when fuel light comes on----i refuel with $80 till fuel light comes on again...i dont drive long with the light on....pull in one time and refuel. point fortin to point fortin runs 1 sando and maybe 1 north run on week...

yes the 3zz has power steering unlike the electric steering in the 1nz

the 3zz also has a timing chain like the 1nz

the 3zz has 1 belt (yes 1 belt) that passes over everything ! (power steering, alternator, a/c compressor..etc....long belt...prob cost plenty too...

it rel simple man, jus pull out the metal strips from the old set of rubber slide them in the new rubber and then but the new rubber on the wiper itself....there are 2 grooves...one for the metal strip and one for where the wiper is attached the the rubber....watch the old set to see how it is....us...

i photocopied a manual from someone who bought a new nze and the manual said to change oil every 10,000 kms ....most manufacturers use this interval (under normal driving conditions) changing oil at 5000kms to me is a waste of good oil unless u driving hi perform car. going to try mobil1 today, i us...

thats what i wanted to hear but the problem is...... i looked under a 1.8 primera today and guess what....no beams....i think multilink will be on the GT primera maybe the normal sr20de and surely on the sr20ve... i saw the multi link beams on the zv-s wingroad but it is not present on any of the ot...

i really want the power.....thing is i am not finding a sr20de non cvt primera anywhere...... ( i don't want cvt) so i was saying since i not getting all the power with a 1.8 primera i might as well go for the economy of the qg15de wingroad..... problem is i know for sure when on the hiway the wind ...

if he did change the plugs...... it is easy to damage a plug wire when pulling them(esp if u hold it wrong place or if they old), check in night when car is running if there are any sparks along the plug wire(while revving too) (normally close to plug area), if there is a leak the spark will jump to...
