On a stock turbo setup or slightly bigger stock size headers is ok but once you start going up in size it becomes the restriction.

Think about it, Flow in via bigger turbo won’t be able to flow out on standard size

Think I going valvoline and changing 5000. I bought a valve for easy oil change tru a tube I have the fumuto valves...was advised against it but i put it in still...havent had an oil change yet but hopefully it should work well when the oil change is needed. This is one of our rangers 29,000km

The xlt model carry a plastic cover ontop the engine so it quiet down what op is hearing. Once the hood is closed you don’t hear anything “unusual”

OK looking out for the clip and i'd tell you if its anything we ever came across. The engines in these rangers generally sound weird
