Regular rust remover liquid sold in hardwares would work for general surface rusting.
If there is "scaling", you would have to wire/power brush it off and then use the rust remover...

Or, you can just power wash it off with water and properly dry off with cloth.

Nuts / Fruit are a great snack in between meals and are healthy.
