Kronik the man wasnt being sarcastic...he was just saying he did not know that just removing the negative from the battery was all that had to be done to reset the ECU. He was listing all that he used to do. And it does NOT take 20-30mins to reset....the service manual specifically states the pole n...
sometimes even if the coil pack has correct resistance reading it may still be damaged, if u can...switch them with the packs on the swift and that will pretty much rule them out.
It sounds like the coil packs....ensure that they are seated all the way down before tightening then tighten them evenly. Rock them after to make sure they are snug. Check connectors
what is this click you speaking of? It definitely sounds like an ignition problem, doubt its the throttle body. Make sure all the spark plugs are tightened sufficiently, make sure the coil packs are snug and seated properly, check the connections on the coil pack...since you did not disconnect they ...
That was a good suggestion tho...buy a new one from lifestyle and put it in the car....try back the test and see. I almost sure is cuz that car not reaching up to temperature.
boy with that entire thermostat out, housing and all that fan gonna take forever to turn on. I am most certain it will NEVER turn on while the car is moving. As I said my car takes over half hour idling for the fan to turn on and the housing is still in place. You should never remove the entire ther...

I disagree.........you've taken the driver out of the equation Yea I did....but this aint so...
Partner...when you removed the thermostat from the car....did you remove the entire thermostat? Or did you leave the thermostat housing in place and just remove the spring mechanism? If you did the former then I am certain the fan will take very long to cut in on that car, hence you may have no prob...

if i start my car from cold...and just let it idle....it will take close to 25 minutes for the fan to come on. In my car....the fan comes on at 92 deg C according to my pro sport gauge...the car starts at uncer 40 deg C. If i going up a hill the fan comes on earlier though...the ECU sees more load a...
That is normal for the fan to run continuously if you unplug the ECT sensor.....that particular sensor is a toyota sensor so you can get one from the bamboo. In these cars it is a combination of the ECT sensor and the ECU that triggers the fan. You sure the fan not coming on at all? If the thermosta...
