Try a 10w40 first "rolling_hard" that 20w50 is too tick.

Vtec engines do burn oil when revved to redline. If your using a tick oil then sometimes you dont see a change. But 10w30 is the best oil for these engines for performance and fuel consumption.

That sends coolant to the TB and IACV. Take out both ends and get them replaced with coolant hoses at your parts dealer.
