Re: Motorcycle Riders

I0YC_mnh8hM Soak that in as much as possible. Understand as much riding theory as you can, so it will help you understand the physics of riding when you get into it. Pay particular attention to the survival reactions they mention and focus on how to deal with them. In my experience so far, your gre...

Pal...if u now learnig to ride... It have a 125cc yamaha for sale here for 13k...buy that and practice...then upgrade later on. Its for your benefit. Seen an experienced rider crash his 250cc honda and broke every limb on his body a few weeks ago....so just take it easy. Can you give some details o...

Re: Motorcycle Riders

I would disagree slightly. Not everyone has the funds available to buy a bike to learn on, then sell to get the bike they really want. You can kill yourself just as easily on a 125cc if you ride like an idiot! Get the bike you want, ride like you value your life and DO NOT get dragged into the bikes...

Re: Police say fatal car accidents lowest in 14yrs, but bike

Too many bikers feel they are invulnerable while on the roads. They show little respect to other road users and ride like they are on a race track. I ride daily and the majority of drivers show me respect while on the road. It is very rare someone would bad drive me intentionally. Too many drivers a...

Re: Which residential water pump to buy?

½HP is adequate, make sure its not one of those small peripheral pumps that the hardwares like to sell as a domestic pump. What's the problem with those? Those pumps can't produce the volume of water needed to supply anything more than one outlet. The moment you turn on a second tap the volume of w...

Re: :: The official TOOLS thread ::

Regarding the chuck capacity...the chuck can hold work with both in inside of the jaws and the outside of the jaws...thats what those little steps are for on the outer jaws. Independent jaw chucks are very nice for precision work where you would use a dial test indicator to adjust each jaw for mini...

Re: :: The official TOOLS thread ::

I just can't handle the prices some machine shops does want to charge to do simple bushing work.. I would rather use the same money and invest it in tools and do the job myself. I have built crude DIY 'lathes' in the past to build custom bushes to mount radiators etc.. Like this for example: https:/...

Anyone here familiar with lathes? I want to build a small basic lathe for home use using a drill.. What I want is to get a decent lathe chuck and adapt it to fit my 1/2" drill.. Looking for a chuck that would fit up to ~3" diameter round stock at maximum, can work well with hard plastic / ...

Not really liking the actor for Lex so much and wasn't expecting the villian to look so cartoonish. Hopefully the movie will not disappoint.

Are the table saws in Pricesmart any good? Just for home projects, building some sub enclosures and bookshelves. The 33s fit without a lift kit?

33"s will rub in front, depends on the width of the wheel and the overall offset. Trimming of the body (cab) mounts can be required in some cases even with lift.

Owned the pricesmart skil saw for a few years now and it is still working reliably.. It's not the most powerful I've used, but it can cut through 1.5" of plywood reasonably quick. Add a Diablo thin kerf blade and it will be a monster!
