Re: supercharge a corolla (2004)??

There is no benefit to those type modifications, all marketing hype.

The "electric supercharger" just will not move enough air at high velocities to be of any use, actually, it can become an obstruction in the airflow at high rpm.

Re: WTK what is the best set up for rear disc brakes

Actually, unless you are doing repetitive hard stops, drum brakes offers greater stopping power due to its greater surface area. I have raced cars for years with stock drum brakes. but upgraded to stainless steel lines and better pads with no issues whatsoever. If you specifically want the look, tha...

For what reason are you upgrading to disc brakes?

Looks?
Weight?

I believe the Starlet set up should fit.

It will fit without modifications, just be aware that the gears will be a bit longer that those for the 20v.

There seems to be a want and need to get the Toyota community together, but no one shows up.

The Honda boys can do it, does that mean they have greater passion for the brand and willing to support?

Come on Toyota people, show your support!!

The 2zz is a good engine, but not unbeatable by any means. I think it would have hard time running with my RAV4 actually.

Re: MEET WAS GREAT!!! Time Attack was bess!

What I like about this is that even without a proper and official track, we are still looking for a safe options to run our cars. Keep it up guys. Ingalook: the course was not that fast. Probably no faster than D&W. The fun part was off-loading your suspension with the elevation changes while at...

Re: MEET WAS GREAT!!! Time Attack was bess!

Actually, I only remembered the camera AFTER I left home. It would have been great to show what the course offered in vid format. Very similar to a Togue type track: elevation changes, on and off camber corners, ability to let the course flow corner into corner. Attacking a course for approx 1/2 mil...

Re: Engine Break-in "how to"

Not a bad post, however, the Post states "engine break in" so the brakes and clutch part is not applicable. It is best to break in you engine by RPM, not speed, as some people claim. However, if this is a new car, the factory break in periods are far shorter if not non applicable anymore w...

I have used NP Ultra in some of my cars with no bad experiences. The regular NP I won;t try, but the Ultra seems fine. Terran, what makes you think Shell Helix is the most advanced engine oil made? Hearing those ads huh? There are many good performing oils out there, it boils down to personal choice...

Tuners, When I was living in the U.S., I had the opportunity to use SeaFoam. All I can say is that it is a GREAT product. I wish it was available here. Re: Pros and Cons of new 1.4 tsi Jetta

The Jetta is basically a stock 1.4TSi with a chip upgrade from Nathan. We also have deleted the 2 exhaust barrels and replaced it with a free flowing rear barrel (same diameter pipe). Suspension wise, all we did was install Eibach springs on stock shocks...... and yes the Jetta has a stock DSG gearb...

I will be at GB at 10am just in case some people decide to show up. I'll be by the Gazebo on the NW corner.

Hope to see some of you there.

If/when people show up, I'll go grab the RAV4 as I will have the VW race car PCY9423 for the next couple of days.

Good points all around. The 20v will be a good and straight upgrade for your 5afe. The 4efte will need to modify the drivers side engine mount a few inches. I had both, and the 4efte will give you room for modifications in the future. However, if it is possible to look for and find .... look into a ...

Well, I heard Toyota is bringing the FT86 to run the VW Jetta at the next Drag and Wind.

Should be interesting. Even though I have and love Toyota, I will have to ensure that 86 does NOT beat the Jetta that day.

Come and watch the battle at the next event
