Re: Any Prado Owners on the forum?

According to the owner's manual it can work with Super. Tried it and it works fine but we generally use premium. Super is used when we don't feel to drive out of the area to get premium and doesn't cause any ignition rattles or anything.

He owns 2 R35's as well as a huge collection of other JDM goodness, all of which are tastefully modified.

Re: My FD3S drag/ street project (Chevy V8)

Agreed. Will check out the alternator/ charging issue first so I can drive it around while adjusting jets to get it right. It will rev good standstill but bog when driving so I need to drive to adjust it right.

Will check the plugs as well.

Re: My FD3S drag/ street project (Chevy V8)

When I bought the engine it came with an 850cfm carb and worked good but carb itself was leaking and started bogging a bit. Engine is not stock and has been built for marine application (modified - Great Race former engine) so it has high compression pistons, heads, race cams (solid lifters), high r...

Re: My FD3S drag/ street project (Chevy V8)

Fuel pressure is good, it's a holley 850cfm dominator.

Checked the alternator voltage and it's under 13v so I will need to check grounding points and alternator wiring.

It is possible. Recommend to get on OEM 6 speed box, flywheel, clutch, driveshaft, starter, pedals etc. Everything will bolt right in mechanically but you will need to get someone to wire it up for you.

You can check my car out if you want to see where things go (6 speed Z)

Re: Toyota Prado TX

not necessarily...I have a TX and it's the same as the VX (minus the A/C vents for the 2nd and 3rd row seats) However, VX is local badging, TX is JDM. If you can get your hands on a TZ model that will have the A/C vents throughout the van. If it's the 150 series Prado, 2012 and up I believe, the TX ...

Started her up yesterday for the new year and drove around the block..love the suspension setup and the shifter!

Need to fix the exhaust before it rips out and need to sort out the carb flat spot...definitely improved thanks to some fine tuning by myself...learning carb tuning the hard way lol

Re: Looking for 2006 Sti steering position sensor

It appears to be a clock spring from the picture. Can you send the part number so I can check against my stock? Have a few used ones lying around. Or the harness that it jacks into. My 2004 STi and 2005 WRX had the same steering angle sensor on the clock spring so it's highly likely that another one...

Re: The Ultimate 1jz/2jz thread. all jz questions answered.

Guys I'm not sure if this issue is normal or not but here goes.. Recently I started abusing the 2JZ less and started using it as a normal daily driver ride. However, when cruising the secondary turbo takes a little while to come on and isn't "seamless" at all. You FEEL and HEAR that thing ...
