Nah, it's not Robert's own, but it is from the same area where Robert lives.

Re: AutoSport’s Drag & Wind #3 - 14th April 2013

Is the fastest time of class determined by a winning run, or does a losing run count as well?

Re: AutoSport’s Drag & Wind #3 - 14th April 2013

Great event as usual Rawle. Thanks again for the great day of racing. The course is now looking much closer to being equal on both sides.

Man, it's getting harder and harder to keep winning as the events progress. :)

Re: Pros and Cons of new 1.4 tsi Jetta

The Jetta, if used with Super will still run, however, it will either ping or lose a bit of power, it will not just grenade itself. HP has nothing to do with the spring rate, it is to work with the purpose of the car. There are some American cars with over 300hp which are sprung like a wallowing pig...

Rover 400 is the same engine as the Honda Civic D series motors. Look into a starter for that and it should work.

At that point in the race, yes, but most of them are quite quick as well. There is an s2000 running in the event, and he is a bit faster then me in the straights, but the driver/car combo has not yet beaten the VW :) If you guys are available, we have the next event this weekend at ARC (Arima Race C...

Hey, Definitely try to be at the event, it should be fun, always is :D I do run the car in Tiptronic mode, it allows me to stay in the gear I want for longer. Fortunately, the model I race does allow me to turn off the TCS, but your model does not. The only issue we have encountered so far, is a bre...

Re: Pros and Cons of new 1.4 tsi Jetta

Another possible option to the Golf GTI is the Polo GTI. same engine as the Jetta TSI but with 10 more hp, and the car weighs in about 400-500 lbs lighter than the Golf. It is supposed to run with the Golf GTI. I have been trying to convince BA to bring in the Polo GTI. I Guess time will tell. It sh...

Hi Folks, Just chiming in with some input on the TSI Jetta. I race for Best Auto at the Drag and Wind events. We are now in the 2nd year, and the car has performed admirably. As far as performance, coming from a JDM world, I am definitely impressed with how the car handles and drives. We use the Eib...

How about a Toyota lime somewhere?

Fellow Toyota people. How about we set up a Toyota lime / meet & greet somewhere? Looking to see who the Toyota enthusiasts are, seeing I am getting deeper and deeper into Toyota once again. It can just be a central meeting place to lime and ole talk, or a run to some destination. Let me know yo...

I have heard, but still yet to confirm that the gearboxes for the "A" series engines will fit. I know there are some 4wd manual corollas around, check it out, may be a solution for you.

Try to look around for a Celica or something within that year model, Toyota uses many parts which are interchangable. It just takes some time to look around the bamboo for options. The things I have found within the Toyota line which works with other Toyota models are staggering.

Re: Toyota men need a lil info on a EP82 Starlet GT turbo

Check the 5efe Corolla cylinder, it should be the same size and capacity. The clutch fork would be anyone from an A or E gearboxes. I believe Toyota used the same forks for both these applications. Toyota is famous for reusing the same part throughout many engine designations. Just look around and y...

Re: dx wagon yay or nay?

A very reliable and fuel efficient vehicle. Mine was trouble free for years. The leaf springs classifies it as a semi commercial vehicle which is great for longevity in hauling stuff around. The 5efe is a very easy engine to modify as well. I turbocharged mine eventually with no issues ( I had a 4sp...

There are some NZE Corolla/Fielders which comes 4wd, so just look for a 4wd gearbox for the 1nzfe.

Re: wtk about toyota 4a-fe engine

Yeah, my bad.

The same applies to the 4afe. However, the 4efe turbo and manifold will not apply.

You will basically have to make a manifold, turbo, charge pipe, RRFPR and a MSD BTM unless it is a DIS system.

Re: wtk about toyota 4a-fe engine

To answer your question: Yes, you can turbocharge your 4efe, I did the same with my 5efe with great results. However, the 4efte will bolt in completely and will probably cost the same or a bit less than the cost to turbo the 4efe. If you do have the 4efe with the DIS (Distributorless ignition system...
