Rover 400 is the same engine as the Honda Civic D series motors. Look into a starter for that and it should work.

I have heard, but still yet to confirm that the gearboxes for the "A" series engines will fit. I know there are some 4wd manual corollas around, check it out, may be a solution for you.

Try to look around for a Celica or something within that year model, Toyota uses many parts which are interchangable. It just takes some time to look around the bamboo for options. The things I have found within the Toyota line which works with other Toyota models are staggering.

There are some NZE Corolla/Fielders which comes 4wd, so just look for a 4wd gearbox for the 1nzfe.

The same applies to the 4afe. However, the 4efe turbo and manifold will not apply.

You will basically have to make a manifold, turbo, charge pipe, RRFPR and a MSD BTM unless it is a DIS system.

To answer your question: Yes, you can turbocharge your 4efe, I did the same with my 5efe with great results.
