Tuners,just want to know if there's any upgrades for these engines internally,also i heard that you can swap the engine head and use a d16y8 head since there's many upgrades for it.What advice you all have?

i dont think this would work.. as far as i kno, u cannot use a 88-00 d series head on the D16w7 block or any new D series block for tht matter.. the engines for these generations were designed differently.. pm kezay, he will be able to tell u more. not sure if there are internal upgrades but there's always nitrous

The Philippine version of the 7th generation Honda Civic also used the VTEC3 mechanism for their VTi/VTi-S/RS Civics, equipped with a
D17A6 and not the 1.6L D16W7 engine as stated in their brochure to lower the Philippine duties on importation.
