It's not an impossible swap by any means... but very involved. If you've never swapped an engine yourself... definitely something to leave to a pro. I am even reluctant to do the swap alone... it's definitely not a weekend project... more like a 1 week + deal. The thread gives you an idea of how a basic K swap will go... a lot more parts can be involved to do a 'nice' job. My personal budget for the swap adds more than listed in the linked thread. For reference... a full turbo kit can be installed onto any D or B series engine over a weekend... start on Friday and driving by Sunday. K swap... not so fast... lol
It's looking like nitrous testing is up next...still searching for the turbo. She's been killing em as a DD weekend racer for 9 years... how much more can she take !
