JC : I always found the Koni over priced for a shock and spring combo , but when you add lifetime warranty it pays off.

I never ran the Koni/GC but did try the Illuminas and GC ride was decent however you could not get Low. Best ride was 2-3" lower than stock.

red_dragon. yeah the combo is a bit expensive but i got it on sale so the price wasn't that bad. i just installed it with the shock on the softest setting so i cud use the car. i haven't started to make any adjustment on the shock settings as yet to see how it will affect the ride.

right now the height is 11.75" from the center of the wheel hub to the arches on the fender and it rides really well. can't complain.

1001. if u mean if it touches on the fender when i turn, no. what has been touching is the exhaust when i go over humps and the tires rub on the inside when i make a turn the wheels all the way in. i checked the offset on the wheels and turns out it is +50 which explains why the tires touch on the inside. so i bought some 5mm wheel spacer and going to install them which should eliminate that problem.

JDM_GUY. no probs on posting the pic and even though i have never tried any other coilovers, i have driven in other cars with other coilover set ups and this combo is really good compared to others. of course the ride will change from stock which i expected but is quite comfortable for a daily driver.

I drove both sedan with b16a and b16b. All you notice is after vtec and in and out of corners (LSD). The b16b keeps power on longer and doesn't have the drop off feel as the b16a when it reach 7500rpm.. The b16b just ask for 9k red line. Its a blast driving, i could only dream how a CTR would feel.

Dam i really need to get a CTR. :fist:

i have owned both and i agree with u guys on the b16a vs b16b below vtec. but once the vtec kicks in, u feel the difference between both.

i don't know if the b18c5 feels the same but it would be nice to have some more power before the vtec kicks in.

i have been think b20vtec but for now, quite happy with the b16b.

yeah thought about that as well :)

nice sleeper. b16b block with b18c5 internals  or any type of different internals. sounds like somebody we know

but will i have the same feel out of vtec with that combo, ie, lack of power :?:

who say let me get a pull with their b18c5 :?: :)

cannot help with the B18

can speak for the following , stock b16 , Stock CTR ,built B16, CRVTEC and Semi built H22

Ranked them in order of power in and out vtec

There are alot of combos u can run in a B- block

high pressure air being the best option

So I haven't updated the car for a while. Since the last post, the car has been repainted in the original color.

I replaced the 2 front fenders because they were rolled and it was easier to replace than repair and the front bumper that was hit previously. The rear arches were returned to original condition as they were rolled as well.

Can't complain about the paint job. So far so good.

So the car will be sold soon as is time to move on. Thanks for all the comments and advice during the project and maybe I will start a thread with the next car :D
