Help with choosing a good d15b engine

Postby inter_elegance » January 9th, 2014, 8:01 pm

hey guys i need your advice about rebuilding my engine.

ok so i have an ek3 96 model it has the d15b cvt and now the tranny is gone. the engine has also a knocking noise when idling as well as massive blowby. Now i have another engine on the ground that was the original but the crankshaft keyway i think it is broke so the pulleys couldn't turn so i ended up just buying a head and block but now that one has the knocking noise. can i use the two engines and make one by just using the good crankshaft and putting it in the other engine and just buy another cvt tranny. or i want to rebuild the engine how much would it cost me since it has all that blowby and now knocking noise. anyone who ever rebuild a d15b plz let me know how much it costs as well as who did it.

ok guys i found a really good d15b engine at I&S in penal they have about eight but this one is real clean i mean even inside when i remove the engine oil cover its like new not even the brown stain look from the oil. but here's the thing the throttle body is excellent like new also but when i turn the throttle and look down inside i see some oil that looks like it coming from the pcv hose is that normal or not because all the engines i checked had the same thing even the ones at the bamboo.
