Sounds like incorrect plugs or Faulty O2 Sensor. Use the Denso plug (OEM). There are alot of complaints with the NGK replacement. Also that engine uses either 5W-30 or 10W- 30. In worst case scenario a faulty injector/ fuel pump, but I mostly see this on GDI engines. Let someone ready you fuel trim, that could help narrow down the problem part. Does the CVT have the egr valve also, my tiida rattling and pinging also..need help folks anything to solve the problem will be appreciated.

Simple solution and is nuttn else is the plugs ur using don't buy denso buy ngk

Check out the decarbonization service offered by Auto Technica Workshop. Carbon buildup in the the Tiida engine causes alot of issues like this.

Which mech did all your work meaning what area looking to do all those things with my wife car oil plugs throttle body

Is this engine chain driven or belt driven? If its chain driven you may be experiencing chain slap. Might need to check the chain tensioner

I have a similar issue, (nissan Note HR15DE)

i'm not sure if its really pinking however - more of rattling for me. it occurs between 1500-2000 rpm and only occurs when the motor is being driven and fully warmed up,

when car is cold no sound, stand still rev in "Drive" - no sound, stand still rev in "park" - no sound

changed plugs/motor oil and its still there, but it doesn't impact performance - so prob something else- will be doing some checks in the coming weeks

Just get the engine decarbonized and have the injectors serviced.

Try cleaning the EGR valve that stopped my y12 pinking issues

Ok, will do - prob this weekend if time permits

Prob solved.. EGR valve cleaned, also cleaned the throttle body, including turning the car on but not starting and pressing and holding the gas pedal so the TB turns open and clean it

Everyone had good ideas, but none would help you, but what I'm about to say would make that go away. The intake manifold have four butterfly flaps. Remove those flaps and seal up the holes with epoxy. I had that same issue with my Y12 it could be very annoying. After I removed those flaps my car knocking noise stop. I actually stop using super as well and only put premium. You won't burn gas if you removed those flaps I full up once a week and it last whole week, trust me and I use my car everyday Sunday to Sunday. Just make sure and service your car on time and clean the throttle body also the air mass flow sensor.
