the shine dies a little everytime the car gets wet as the water reacts with the polishin agents blah blah
but yes the dust will come off easier with a fresh polish you can just blow it off with a high pressure air too

Hey Guys the main thing to about polishing is Preping the vehicle before it is polished. this means washing- claying and removal of all serfice contaminants.

Once the prep stage in done properly you can use any type of polish cheap to the most expensive and the car will have a deep wet look!! Most people dont know this be the prep stage is the most essential!!!!

Another essential is the maintance of the vehicle body! some guys just wash their car and do more damage than good.

I have posted some pics of a customer car that was badly mentained.

As you can see in pic 1 and 2 the swirls marks. This was induced by improper washing methods!! ( using the same wash mitt throughout the entire vehicle etc)

When i was done i gave the customer a crash training on how to maintain his vehicle .. He was quite happy

Here is are two pics of the finish job. the customer was smiling like a child when they get candy. LOL i should have taken a pic of him lol

Here are some of the Products that was used

Let me know what you all think!

If you guys want some more info on maintaining your car pm me i will be glad to help!!

Yes i did, do you like the finish?

I use the recommended methods for detailing in this case paint correction!

You should see how many products Detailers use in the US and England. You would be amazed. Some guys take 2-3 days to finish a car!
Each product that I use has a special purpose i.e. removal of bonded contaminants, swirl removal, paint cleaner, polishing, protecting, layering and glazing!

On this project it took me apx 8hours, as I pay special attention to detail. Some of my clients can agree to this!

In Trinidad there are a lot of guys who call themselvesâ€

Thanks for the compliment.

Do you know that pitchoil is not recommended for a car body! it damages the the plastic and rubber moldings on the vehicle. You may not see it in the short term but in the long term you would!

There are newer techniques that replaces the old "pitchoil" method. It may not be the most cost effective, but the new methods are safer for YOU and the vehicle and IMO you get a better finish!

In the pic that is not a buffer its a random orbital polisher.

I cant remmember the price i paid for my Rotary machine (buffer) (not shown in the pic) but you can check some of the more reputable Hardwares or tool shops.

TintMan, damage?....thanks for letting me know that. i used pitchoil once on the whole car, then on the second occasion, i used it close to the bottom of the car.

dont use pitchoil
use a cleaner wax
prestone is one of the best i have come across but very harsh it works best on non clear cars
the meguiars cleaner wax worked well on the clear coat vehicle
i have also used the liquid clay bar from turtle wax with great success on clear coats

I agree with Cinco,, if you want to remove any bonded contaminants ,, use a claybar first to remove the heavy stuff then use a cleaner wax!

There is one product from 3m that i uses years ago that worked well on tar and other heavy stuff, but i dont see it around again.

I'm seeing some tiny black dots and some brown coloured tiny dots on the paint of the trunk and the bonnet.......hardly noticeable but if one were to lightly pass one's fingers over the surface one feels the spots...........that clay bar will remove such spots right?

I provide a home service

The cost depends on the condition of the vehicle and what you want done to it....

If you have a budget in mind i can recommend a package,, But i must see the vehicle.

Call me 784-9290

how hard you rub the polish -- you probabbly not rubbing it hard enough - if that dont work use a clay bar - if that dont work go to a body shop-

those spots sound like rust...
happens when someone is grinding metal or you are near ispat the fine iron pieces embed into the paint almost impossible to remove without a re paint

Here is customer car i did about a year ago. Did not have any before or aftershots of the job. But all i can say is that the Customer was VERY happy with the detail.

This Detail took about a day and a half for a total interior and exterior.
