Did you know that here in Jamaica Maxxis is easily the most popular tyre? Usually the UA-603 on budget daily cars and the victra MA-Z1 on sportier applications..
Barely a nexen or roadstone in sight!

their alignment procedures seemed more elaborate than the previous place i went to which did it really quick and detected nothing..... would definitely continue to go there

Just to illustrate how each experience is different, they aligned my car when i installed new tyres at that same Mucurapo Rd branch and it started pulling to the left. Had to go elsewhere to sort it out as the machine and tech insisted it was correct.

I'll probably never go to them for alignment again.

I've had problems with their alignment more than once. Tend to avoid it now unless it's on a vehicle where I'm also purchasing the tires from them also. In that event I just hope it turns out right. Sometimes the alignment is good, sometimes it's bad and needs to be fixed elsewhere.

Whats the prices like for some good 205 / 55 / 15 tyres?
I used to pay $650.00 for my 205 / 40 / 17, dunlop and they worked pretty nice. !5's cheaper or cost more?

There's a tyre shop on Macoya Road in Tunapuna that advertises Maxxis (on the left hand side just after Centre of Excellence when heading north). You could probably try them. Sorry, I don't have a number for them.

check mileage mack
around 650 iirc

won't recommend them over the Ma-z1 but they could definitely do the work.

Try $790 at MM for a 205/60/14.

 @ MA-Z1 better than the Vimode.

my word i got my proxes about 2 months ago and look @ the price now.
Same goes for the maxxis which is why i decided to try the vimodes just for the sake of trying another reputable brand.

The most recent quote i got on a ma-z1 was $825 at quick service but my first pair was also $650 at
wheel wizard but that was a long time ago when they use to stock.

pilot exaltos are sweet, I'm running on a set of those and I have to say they are the most responsive tyres I'v ever driven with. Both wet and dry traction is great, so is braking very predictable.

Looking forward to trying the toyo proxes t1r next.

What MODEL of each of the above tyres? Brand is not the only important consideration..

Of the top of my head you can rule out the Duram..

Find out which model firestone and lets take it from there

Well there are many many Dunlop Sp Sport tyres as you will see at this link
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/dunlop/dunlop-tires.jsp

I would give the firestone a run personally.. It likely won't be an AMAZING tyre but will provide good value and good performance.

Tyre Clinic in Chaguanas has (or at least had) the Sumitomo HTR ZIII for $850 in that exact size.

Bought it at the end of last year and it seems pretty decent thus far. Haven't pushed it yet though. They also have decent reviews on Tire Rack.
