impressed thus far....surprisingly quiet, decent grip in the dry

these have about 18000 km since purchased and they still work pretty good for the price paid

Does anyone have a suggested dealer I can check? Laughlin was a waste of time. I'd rather not spend 1500 a tyre but I want to try to keep it COntinental as the rear tyres still have real life on them.

You wouldn't find that down here ...

easiest way is to ship to seabox and let them handle everything
go pay and collect
they charge around 14-15$ a lb

you cant expect to buy cheaper tyres and expect them to last as long as better known brands. i see alot of people with the mentality of spending 5k on rims or more and 200 on tyres which not making sense. Right now im using Keter Brand tyres and they are working pretty well. they are quiet and have decent grip but i wont expect them to perform like a Michelin or Bridgestone. hadda drive to suit the tyres you can afford :?

Im thinking about those keter tires vs some brand name tires, i run 14" tires on both my laurel and lancer.

i already bought two sets, the lancer and the laurel. I find it was strange tho that it barely lasted a year and a half.
My commute was almost 40KM a day, sometimes more but never less.

So its roughly 20,000km in a time frame of 15 months or so and that costed me 350$ a tire, so 1400$ a set.

How much KM you guys get out of a set?

^ compared to say a recognized brand tire (firestone, bridgestone) which is $600.00 for a 14 inch size
do you think it will be worth it ?

price per KMs are totally diff. Bought some hiflys, saw a couple friends running them. Fit my budget at the moment. Doing some other work on the car right now, The keter wore perfectly tho, no worries about that. Just hit the wore mark on the tires and decided to change them out.

i bought my keter in november but i barely drive to be honest so they may last me longer than someone who drives on a daily basis. so i will update when i can. i like their performance so far though, they are pretty quiet too

I expect them to last longer given the harder rubber compounds they use... Also
Not everything from a reputable brand is good and everybody tends to prefer certain aspects of a tyre

Grip is first and foremost for me.

the type of tyre you use could dampen the noise you hear when you on the road?

well some tyres are typically noisier than others; and bad suspension can cause poor wear which amplifies noise.

^^^ How are the DZ102s. After that much time and milage I would think you had enough time to give a thorough review.

Heard some bad reviews about them being loud, so-so grip in wet, hoping for better dry grip etc, but those were from fairly new buyers

I have used 102s for a combined 47k km. They work ok, not as loud as the 101 used to be. In the dry they are fine, even if pushed a bit. In the wet, however, acceleration, corners, moderate to hard braking can all cause them to lose traction.

Yes I know it happens with all tyres. You just need to adjust to the new limits.
Interestingly, NO hydroplaning at all. Standing water at 80km+ like it not even there.
I would recommend as a good option for standard daily driving, given the road hazard warranty.

Getting Sumitomo ZIII at wholesale price so will try those next.

I have them on some 18"s, I find they loud. Good grip dry, good enough on wet.

Tks for the feedback on the DZ102s.

Concerning the Sumitomo ZIII, I'm on my second set, and I'm quite happy with them for the price.
It's a true summer tyre, and has a surprising amount of grip in the dry.
Have not experienced any hydroplaning in the wet, but when you first hit a puddle of water you do feel a slight tug on the wheel (that's been the case with every tyre I've had, from the ZIII, V12 Evos, and Michelin PS3).
Road noise with the ZIII is pretty good to my ears. Would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a more performance oriented tyre.
