Anytime i turn the vehicle the a/c motor makes a noise like if something i loose? what cant that be?

Nah no clicking noise- Its more like a sound when something is loose spinning. more like a fan

What causes the a/c to make a hissing noise (you hear it loudest through the vents) every time the compressor cycles on?
There are no leaks in the system (checked with the probe thingy), and it get's cool, not cold, so I suspect it wasn't gassed up to optimum pressure initially and that's what's causing the noise.
If this is the case, can you recommend somewhere I could get a top-up of the older R12 gas for a reasonable price?

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW INSTALLATION...I JUS WAS WONDERING..IF ITS NOW PROBLEM..I BOUGHT A CAR AND THE AC WAS NOT INSTALLED BUT I HAVE THE AC COMPRESSOR.ITS FOR A GA15ENGINE FUEL INJECTED.ALSO HAVE THE LINES RUN.TO ADD THE CAR IS A Mitsubishi lancer.

i'm having a problem, my a/c blew out from the valve on the compressor. So carried it by an a/c man, he changed the expansion valve, the evaporator not leaking, the condenser not leaking. the thermo switch on the dryer was bad so they bridge it. sometimes the a/c blowing cold, sometimes it not. one day i rev it a little wen i was in neutral, to see if it would start cooling, but the compressor blow out the gas again. what do you think it could be? he told me to get a fan and change the fan, but i didnt get time yet...the car is a 96 local ek3 civic

now my car has the ion air cleaner tingy in a B15...

the light is blue when the air is clean and green when the ion system kicks in

can you share with us here what is this ion system..............

did my system today. engine FWD sr20de highport. the compressor not clicking on and off,so i'm guessing my thermostat giving problems? what advice will u give here?it's an old one that was on the car when i bought it YEARS ago.i kinda wanna change it.any particular place i can get it to buy?

secondly,when i turn it on the idle drops to about 900 on neutral and park.when i put it on drive it drops to around 500. not good,that is to low.the car cuts off sometimes.what causes this and what can i do to help solve it?

Aye, lemme hear your thoughts on this. On really hot days when the car is parked in the open, it gets beastly hot inside.

Now, I have my a/c control set to about 24C (well, by the graduations on the controls anyway), but with the fan control set to "auto" all the time, it blows fast when I switch on the car in the situation outlined above and doesn't get cold as quickly (other than that, it works splendidly).

Most times I lower the speed setting to 2 or even 1 and THEN it gets cold. I'm thinking it has to do with the air passing through the evaporator too fast to remove the heat as efficiently as when it were moving slower.

Am I correct and is lowering the fan speed a safe practice?

the bushings on my ac compressor clutch fell off so it makes a clinging sound when dissengaged, it still works but wanna know how to go about fixing it

when the ac is switched on while driving, i hear a scratching sound every time i step on the gas.. even as i mash down harder on the highway it gets louder.. then stops as i step on the gas again lightly,, same thing.. when i swich off the ac its normal again.. i also changed the timing belt last 2 wks by the way..any reason for this??

Also when the ac is on the car bot picking up speed at all.. why is this?? i have to step straight down on the gas.. but then the engine sounds like its about to shoot off... can i get some help with this..

my a/c works well but on rare occasions while the sun is at blazing temperatures and i am in stand still traffic the coldness tends to drop a bit... the air comes tru a bit hot... what can be causing this?
