WTK: Excessive wear on inside front tyres..

Postby civir » May 21st, 2012, 10:17 pm

My front right inside tyre are worm to the point where I am about seeing the wires, I had purchased those tyres about 9 months now...any advice?

My car is a wingroad, what would be the best size rims and tyres to put on it, I have a baby and my daily commute have some nasty bumps....

what would you guys recommend?

change the tyres immediately and check your alignment!

according to the Nissan specification PDF, the Wingroad comes standard with Tyre size. 185/65R15. 195/55R16. 185/65R15

you can find a matching rim and tyre combination that suits you once you match the rolling diameter

use this calculator
http://www.tiresizecalculator.info/

so a 215/50/16 or if you find that profile too low or you already have 15" wheels then 205/60/15 should be fine

if you had speed balanced and aligned your tyres properly and this happened then you maybe have some bad front ends......

if u use the car regularly and just concerned bout safety then your best bet is to got with what the factory recommend for your car....

14" or 15" rims with 205 series......

my 2 cents...

9 mnths you say? can be also caused by bad shocks or busted cradle bushings
and get some 60/65 series tyres for those rough roads

I would check the suspension IMMEDIATELY before buying new tyres.

I have had this happen to me to the extent of the tyre blowing out. I learned the hard way.

Something is definitely wrong with your suspension. Changing the tyre "masks" the problem. It does not fix it. It will be a waste of money to buy new tyres because you will run into the same problem again.

He wouldn't be wasting money by buying new tyres, because he needs them. BUT, he definitely needs to find the source of the problem because it's severely shortening the lifespan of his tyres.
Any good alignment shop will perform an inspection and list the things you'll need to change before they get to work on it.

I dunno what order you're gonna sort it out, but if it were me, I'd check the alignment shop first with the bad tyres on, in case it helps them to diagnose the problem, then I'd have my mechanic do the needful before aligning and replacing the tyres.
