NZE problem car shaking!

Postby legend » May 18th, 2013, 12:45 pm

Hey guys i having a problem with my NZE121 2003 1.5 corolla LX singapore model
The car initially was idling a little heavy nothing major; about two weeks ago i stopped at my office for 15 mins and when i started the car again the whole car began shaking. In park the car is shaking slightly , no shake in neutral but heavy shake in drive . The car doesnt shake at high speeds but when i slow down or come to a complete stop in drive it shakes really bad.
I decided to try redline; no change. I tried something called QMI for water in gas. When i put it the car started to shake then it cut off(first time cut off) . When i started back it worked fine for like a week or so until today when it began to do the same thing again.

Any ideas of what's going on here?

Your car is idling very low, either the injectors need cleaning or throttle body. My advice is take it to toyota company, barataria branch, ask for a mechanic call Bobby..

Injectors cleaned.
MAF cleaned.
ISCV cleaned.
TB cleaned.
Coil Packs tested good.
Spark plugs tested good.

Unlikely suspects:
1. Vacuum leak
2. Clogged cat

To check / do:
1. Fuel pressure / fuel filter
2. Compression test
3. Stuck/ sticking injector
4. O2 sensor
