you doing the drain and refil procedure or youre doing the complete fluid replacement ??
drain and refil will take you about 4 quarts.
complete fluid replacement will take you about 8-9 quarts
when I did my full fluid replacement it took me 8 liters of oil
a liter is 0.89 of a quart .... in other words a quart is almost 1/10th short ( a little less) of a liter.
oil you could use any oil that compatible with the rating of the transmission. normal 4 spd any oil that exceeds the dexron 3 rating.
I use gulf fully synthetic automatic fluid transmission.
...works extremely well.
since you changing transmission oil i'd advise you to also install an external oil cooler for the transmission one time...its picey but worth it for the kind of heat we have these days.
