RENAULT CLIO ENGINE CONVERSION

Postby jrwb59 » January 10th, 2018, 7:50 pm

Hi all
I'd like to change the engine in my 2002 Renault Clio to a Nissan QG18DE, preferably a QG!18DD. I've been getting a lot of conflicting opinions as to whether it wil fit or not. Aside from physically measuring the engine, does anyone have any ideas about this?
Thanks in advance. :D

Apart from that don't go DD...parts kinda hard to get since they don't bring alot. In addition...when issues start it's never ending. I had this option and chose to go DE at the time based on the information available.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm not too worried about parts, I have access to what I need - it's if the damned thing will fit!

Well engine was developed between Nissan and Renault so I don't see why not.

Actually I dont think so - that would be the later HR series engines.
