hey,

Is this club still active?
i need some help with my handbrake adjustment, i have a u14 sss bluebird and i was attempting to adjust the handbrake only to realise that it was a self adjusting handbrake. The problem is now the wheel is binding and not rolling freely and im also hearing a creaking sound when i brake and come to a stop, when i put back on the kind of hub casing it went on pretty snug. help?

go underneath the car behind the hub theres a little access hole - plugged by a rubber grommet.
remove the grommet and using a flat screwdriver back off the adjustment.
jack up car and remove wheel before doing this of course.

you can also remove the hub and back off the adjustment - the gear wheel - or disassemble the entire unit brake shoes and such and reassemble- this time dont run the adjustment gear wheel all the way up - do it in increments -check for drag by installing the hub and spinning it.

it should not spin freely nor should it bind immediately
it should have just enough drag to make about 1/2 to 3/4 of a revolution...

very important that the hand brake be completely DOWN or OFF...

Let the bamboo be your playground. You should be able to find whatever you want there.
B14 fogs I think works as well for the U14 or you can buy the SSS bumper which would already have them installed. But remember fog lights are illegal once not brought in with the vehicle or unless you get special permission.
I have never seen after market rear lights for the U14 but I see people use vinyl and done some pretty interesting things with it.

Hope this helps

fog lights are kinda expensive you can use the b14 ones. just be sure to get the finisher. also the car comes pre wired for it so get the original fog light switch.

see thread >> viewtopic.php?f=21&t=488707&start=120

there is a lip kit and side skirts available for the car but you just gotta look for it. be aware most ppl in the bamboo only know price...

headlights theres the black OEM nissan projectors - see if you can get those - very expensive but looks soo damn good.

tail lights theres an "upgraded "one but honestly i cant tell the difference between the 98 to 99 model. yes its OEM nissan.

theres chrome handles - check some powersellers in the car classifieds sect - they got them.

theres also clear indicators - provided you got the model with the indicator on the bumper.
its from the u13 but can work on the u14 with a very slight mod.

see link >> viewtopic.php?f=21&t=488707&start=150

see if you can get you hand on some strut bars - check tuner called "TSC"
fyi U14 =P11. 8-)

long story short see my thread >>> viewtopic.php?f=21&t=488707

Thanks guys, most helpful. I'm not really looking to do 2 much, I like my look simple and clean. I think I'm jus Gna black out the rear lights, get the fogs n lip kit possibly lower it just a tiny bit depends on the rims and that's it.

I'm putting HID'S in the headlights and hyper yellow on the fogs, that's the look im goin for if u kno Wht I mean.

get the black projector headlights if you dont already have those and sport grille as well.
some projector lights come HID and some dont so if you want HID be sure to get the setup with HID.

that way u wont have to go and but an HID kit and install it after.

the fog light bulb is H3 and i'd recommend you stick with the halogen setup and install these bulbs- they give the nice yellow output.

Anil will hook u up real good with what ever parts u need . 8-)

IIRC the almera / N15 fogs and the U14 supposed to be the same.

the b14 one can work as well. i dont think it needs to be cut or anything.

edit - the finisher for the fog light may be different - the U14 has a slight curve to the finisher
be sure to get the correct pair of finisher

a tuner was selling a pair. (of finishers)

U14 bluebird...cant go wrong there..excellent platform for boosting can work with the various SR and its variants. SR18 / SR20 /SR20DE/ DET/VE/VET

body wise - parts not expensive.

mechanically wise - easy to access - P11 primera = U14 bluebird
want after market shocks - go online and search for a 2002 infiniti G20. that is the exact same thing as the primera - just its LHD.

cradles joint steering ends even electrical switches are the same

try to find a good unmolested one as ones that ppl use and abuse they want all 40k for it...
