B15 Speaker advice

Postby JohnJJ » July 23rd, 2014, 8:29 am

I want to buy a pair of speakers for the door of my B15 since my current ones blew.
I am not sure which between the two following ones would fit though. The first is a 6.5 inch and the second is a 4 inch. I know the 4 inch would most likely fit but I want the 6.5 inch one.
Do you think the 6.5 inch speaker would fit properly in the door?

6.5 inch will fit with no problem. If you want the easy way out, you can more or less fit the speaker onto the original plastic riser, after you cut out the old speaker from it.

The better way is to use a MDF riser that is bolted to the door, then the new speaker attached to that.

I had a 7.25" speaker in my B15 when I had it, fit behind the stock upholstery like normal.
