HR15 slow up hills

Postby partsmaster » October 7th, 2015, 11:29 pm

i just got a y12 with a hr15 and on flat road it runs good, but to go up hills it will start slowing down. only if you kick down it will go up the hill, and also on the highway you can't gradually mash the x to overtake you have to kick down.
(no check light is on)

could this be the engine starving for fuel, or a tranny prob, or a sensor?

Big z's method is effective. An immediate difference could be felt after his service...

Clogged Catalytic converter could be culprit.

This should be removed since it's not a necessity for our climate right ?

Biz Z. I know you do servicing and so on so it would be beneficial for us all to know and act accordingly immediately thanks.

I believe you are from Princess Town right ? I'm from up north and would like to service my car a per your schedules but preferably up north. do u have a branch up north or can recommend anyone that doe it ? I like the idea of a 1 stop shop.

My only location is Princes Town. No plans for a northerly move anytime soon. https://goo.gl/maps/P3PEc

The catalytic converter oxidises any improperly burnt fuel, rendering it less harmful to the environment.
Trinidad has no express laws stating the need for such a device. It is therefore a matter of personal preference for its removal.
They usually fail in poorly maintained vehicles, so you know what has to be done.
I see no need for its removal unless it has failed.

thanks man.

Can you pm me a price for the following :

Engine Oil & Filter Change ( what brand and body oil suits HR15 BEST )
Tranny Oil Change ( NS2 I believe )
Radiator Coolant Change ( not the $ 20 gallons plz )
Injector Cleaning / Servicing
Engine Decarbonizing

Depending on the cost for material and labour I can arrange to come spend a day down south and do some shopping in the interim......lol
