nissan 720 pickup single to kingcab questions

ok tuners i have some questions im thinking about doing a cab n tray swap on my single cab 720 pick up to a king cab, firstly where the law is involved do i need to do anything in licence office.. will i get in trouble if i simply just take my single cab off n put on a king cab? what are the pros and cons of this swap?

A vehicle, as far as Licensing office is concerned is identified by its chassis number. You could modify it as much as you want, once it carries the original chassis number. If the number is stamped on the frame, then you can put a Lamborghini cab if you want.
The Registration Number carried by the licence plates goes with the chassis/frame number. Both are on the certified copy.
If the number is stamped on the cab, then you cannot change that...........And it is illegal to cut out the part with the chassis number and reweld or rivet it to another cab/chassis.
