nissan YD25 Transmission

Hi All,

Have a 2006 Nissan R51 Pathfinder with the YD25 engine and electronic Transmission. Recently the transmission has been going in SAFE MODE. If i switch off and start back, works fine for a little and back in to SAFE MODE.

From what I read on line, SAFE MODE is when there is a fault and the electronic tranny goes in to 3rd gear only. I have a tip tronic tranny and even shifting while driving same 3rd gear.

I have the vehicle scanned and saying some problem with the valve body.

Any one had a similar problem knows the solution.

You will have to go to a tranny specialist. I have dealt with Jai's transmission in Arranguez and is happy with his work. 674-9615
There are other guys around as well, maybe better for your area.

UPDATE

My mechanic took out the valve body cleaned it all solenoids and all, put it back in and van is back to normal.

ONLY transmission oil was changed NO NEW PARTS at all.
