fuel gauge problem e11 note

Postby X_Factor » February 16th, 2019, 10:15 am

so the fuel gauge does not correspond to the gas in the tank especially when its full
around 1/4 and down tank is where it reads

changed pump assembly twice with the gauge same issue

understand its a common issue with some of the nissan vehicles as well

The fuel sender and its ground to chassis should have been tested.

It should be low pressure pump (sender) with a float sensor inside of the tank. There may also be a high pressure pump on the chassis.

Test the float sensor for gauge readings. Give the gauge time to react to float level changes. If it does not calibrate properly, you may have a faulty gauge.

it is a common issue with nissans Tiida K12 march and E11 note.

ive never seen a sylphy with the issue.

you can try cleaning the contacts - see link here >>>> http://www.trinituner.com/v4/forums/vie ... 1&t=490906

also you can try checking the output of the variable resistor ( with a multi meter) when you move the arm manually - and see if the gauge in the dash corresponds to your manual movement of the Rod.

try looking for the grounding connection and see if any of those grounds are faulty....

i myself have a similar issue where the gauge only reads sometimes - if i park on an incline / decline the gauge actually reads correctly - or if i shift into neutral and switch off quickly and then switch back on - and then shift back into drive - the gauge reads correctly.
