a brain and harness wont cause a radiator to burst, It will prevent it from starting. I suggest you get another mechanic to take a look at the car.

I am having a little trouble with my VQ 23 for my Teana, I am hearing a whinning \whistling noise between the speeds of 40-70 km\h. the noise is intermittent and only happens when i am mashing the accelerator. I have tried changing the belts, idler pulley. checked for belt deflection. I have also removed the belts and spin the PS pump, alternator, A/C compressor by hand looking for a hard spot. All to no avail. It only happens when the engine is under load.

Any suggestions as to what i can check again is welcome. I will start to lose my hair just now if i cant figure out this problem

Folks, i've decided against selling my VQ30DET and I want to put it back together. I need the brackets from the front to hook back up my accessories. It was removed to check the timing chain and misplaced. Think the VQ20/25 might be the same. Here is a pic of what mines used to look.like.

Looking for a Flywheel for the above engine, think the VQ25 one will work also...

White smoke and burning oil. You need to get that checked immediate.
Worst case scenario - head cracked and oil seeping into the cylinders.
Not so bad - Rings are gone and you need to change them and machine the cylinders.

Good day folks, I'm looking for a VQ23 ecu/ecm for J31, if know anyone that has one.

I am having d same problem for a month now can't seem to put my finger on it , I scanned my car on diagnostic scanner and it said the tps sensor needs changing does this affect the engine causing it to smoke when starting up???

Isn't that symptom related to bad valve stem seals?

What can I do to make my teana j31 VQ23 respond more aggressively like a turbo charged vehicle.

Change the oil and use an engine flush, put a thicker body oil.
