Ogggadddoh, anyway, weekend was way too hectic to do much but this afternoon managed to remove the oil pump from the VE and also the Oil pickup. Things were really nasty and had lots of grease, took quite some time to clean using scrapers, paint brush, kerosene mixed with Cleanoff but came up alright. Here are some pics. Spacer is missing so will need to revisit the seller to see if it is still there.

Not sure if I wanna go that route with a Datsun although I can get my hands on a mint 1600 but I am still contemplating a GTiR only problem is that the gearboxes can't handle the power and I don't wanna jump out big money on straight cut setup, was looking at an EVO7 gearbox with custom housing but that is still in the testing phase but we know they can take a jammin.
