T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

Postby greggle71 » June 15th, 2019, 3:19 am

New Tiguan is nice but Massy missing a big opportunity by only bringing in 2.0T with 190HP vehicles, in the UK you can get it with a 1.5T engine with 150HP which would escape the tax tariff and allow a much more competitive price locally.

I wonder if they will do a special orders for the 1.5T

Looks good I guess they dont like what it would have to compete with further down the price range infact even at the price they are offering it at ... CRV is a much better buy ... Has VW group finally fixed their transmission issues?

CRV still have an oil dilution issue hanging over their heads internationally. Should be fine in the short term sticking with regular oil changes but the long run this may cause issues. People mostly buy Jap cars with longevity in mind.

Wow is that due to the tax increase cause the WRX was going for 360K only 4 years ago ...

Don't get tied up with that 1.6 tho :? its N/A unlike the Tucson which is turbocharged. Horsepower on the 1.6 in the Sportage is around 130. Torque is also dismal for a vehicle that size.

On the contrary, it just might be adequate. Does anyone know how does the Suzuki Vitara Allgrip 1.6 perform?

Got a short tush in the white one.... quality and ride excellent as they always have with the Tiguan R line ...price point ($485k) cheaper than the Q5 ($585k-633k) which has as much features (the paramonic dynamic dash as well just like the Q5 is lovely tho...as well as the 30 plus color choices fro ambient lighting)

This will move just as well as the last model.

thinking the STi is ADM - 2.5 ltr hence the price...(tax regime increased on this size of engine as well from 4 yrs ago iirc)

If the WRX is FA2.0 - why pay 1/2 mil for a subaru?

I honestly hope no one is giving them business and condoning the WRX pricing... unfortunately, I don't get the feeling that Subaru really cares. It seems like they selling XV like doubles with slight.

7-speed DSG and I think now it’s a 5 year/100k warranty.

Currently, there are 5 hybrids and 1 electric vehicle available for sale by the local authorized dealerships. They are:

I know there were model changes on the Porsche's so I am not sure if the hybrid options have continued. A TTTL rep told me that it is possible to specially import the Prius and Camry Hybrids but it would not make economical sense to do so. Also, we may see a RAV4 2.0 Hybrid for sale soon so stay tuned (this is left to be seen). Lastly, I heard for obvious reasons, ANSA McAL refrained from hybrids to push out-dated CNG technology. Now that LDGTT has the rights to BMW, let's see where this goes in terms of offering us "premium" hybrid and electric options.

RAV4 2.0 Hybrid was priced at $720,000.00 from Toyota. By order only...LOL

With the tax regime you really buying tax once is over 1600 cc

That and the dealership preferring to sell less cars with a higher markup
