I called and they said they had a 2.5L hybrid available for something ridiculous over $600K.

Not bad ... sounds cheaper than TTTL.

Who would pay that for a RAV4? The benefits of being hybrid are outweighed by the price imo.

I wouldn't ... But we live in a narco state, which means people have money to burn on exclusive toys.

You're right in that those are luxury brands but everyone has a different perception of luxury. If a man that was driving a box Lancer for years was able to buy a Hilux after some time, and that's his perception of luxury, who are we to say or be bothered otherwise?

I guess by that logic I can understand another perspective... but I prefer to call a spade a spade. A hilux, RAV4, X Trail, Fortuner etc is just not classified as luxury vehicles.

I agree with you. Vehicles have become more luxurious with their finishes but there are factors that differentiate them. Coming from any 10 yr old + will be a jump in tech., features etc. unless you go at the real lower end of the spectrum.

Luxury as was stated before is purely a matter of opinion to ppl. Not all the bells and whistles appeal to everyone.

If the Q3 is the new model it should be 1.5T (35TFSI)

New Car Prices in T

Postby Kambiany » August 12th, 2019, 7:25 pm

Anyone been in one? Whats the rear space like? Looks quite Pulsar-like from the pictures.

Interested in getting a used one once prices have dropped ....will need to be by a lot in 2020-ish, when my Pulsar will be 6 years old.

By that time, there should be used examples available of the larger battery version, which is out at the end of 2018.

Agent007 + MaxPower have you encountered any issues with your touchscreen in the CRV? When the sun hits mine full blast for maybe a minute or two the display starts to dim and brighten. Nothing otherwise is affected but it is annoying when driving to say the least. I know this is a issue abroad and want to know if others locally are experiencing this like me before I pay a visit to CM.

^^ Thanks. Hopefully your unit will not encounter this issue. My 2018 is now 9 months old and this has occurred. When next it happens I will try to record it for evidence to present to CM when raising this issue. I see in the US there is a notice under TSB #A19-066 for this issue see link: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/ ... 4-0001.pdf

With respect to new car purchases do you guys just go with the the Oil provided by the Dealerships or do you guys have a preference for any particular brand on the market (Royal Purple, NP Ultra, Shell, etc)?

The cheapest I can find with a recognised brand name. Anything in the range of viscosities between 5w30 and 15w40 and not monograde.
I did and will do an oil change at 1000km in a every new vehicle

I serviced with the Dealership for my 5000km service in TTTL last Saturday.
I supplied my own oil 15W/40 Schaeffer oil. TTTL. I used 15W/40 based on TTTL recommendation.

I asked TTTL if I can change at 7000 km intervals they said they need to test the Schaeffer Oil after 2 services by their Team to see how well it holds up.
So will do another service at 10,000 km and see how that goes.
