All-wheel drive model?agent007 wrote:Tucson turbo fully loaded is 345k
That all depends on you and how much you value those extra features you listed. The 1.6 gets about 8-8.5km/l with conservative driving. The 1.5T should get better gas consumption, I would expect about 6-6.5km/L with more torque available at a lower rev range.kriticalkase wrote:Saw the 1.5 turbo civic for $279k. Non turbo 1.6 is $239. The 1.5 comes with leather seats, sunroof, fog lamps, remote start and dual exhaust.
Is the $40,000 extra worth it?

Those are the prices quoted for the 1.6T. They no longer bring the 2.0l and no diesel again either.
The fully loaded 1.6T is not bad either, panoramic sunroof, 4wd, blind spot detection, 19" wheels, 10 way powered driver seat, 8 way powered passenger seat, leather seats, auto tail gate, front and rear sensors, rear camera, reclining rear seat, adjustable projector lights. These were just the top off my head, there is a list of other features. Ill post up the pamphlet I got.

I went and look at one and the salesperson told me there were two versions of this car. A base model and high performance.
What i appreciate is your views on it . I new to Honda and interested in it.
Base model looks good but when i heard what the performance model had it caught my attention..I did not get to see to the 1.5 turbo as it was not in the showroom . So any information you can share with me i dont mind.

Same as the other car except for the Turbo, sunroof, leather seats and fog lights. Turbo is nice, its not as aggressive and punchy feeling as the jetta I used to have but its good. 0 to 60 in the 8 sec range (US model gets their 1.5T in the 6 sec range). Turbo can get by with super, I have used both super/premium and detected no difference but I use prem. just out of superstition.
I would not use the term "high performance" to describe the turbo model. Even the Honda engineers who designed the car said they went turbo for economy and so the engine and transmission is tuned for such. Yes it has get up and go but its not that exciting.
Fuel econ is round the 6-7 l per 100KM range but on highway you can get that down to 5.5l per 100KM if you drive like a granny. Heavy traffic and its gets bad like around 10 -12L per 100 KM.
I had some little electrical gremlins with my car just little clicking noises that just seemed to sort itself out with time.
otherwise working well.
