Yes I think so but will verify. But please note, the Tucson still does not have the multimedia/touch screen display on the dash like the Kia Sportage or Hyundai Creta. The rear view cam passes through the rear view mirror and the stereo screen is a 3.5" mono type LCD display. The Sportage is a 5" touch screen. No smart phone integration or DVD etc. Lastly it uses the 6 speed dry clutch gearbox. These were the reaons why we went to the CRV turbo at 359k at the time which has a 7" touch screen multimedia display. CRV is now 379k for fully loaded fwd and 410k for fully loaded awd. Ford Kuga is 345k for fully loaded awd with 8" sync 3 system and sony premium speakers.

Thanks Agent. The Tucson and Quashqai are lacking significantly when comparing the multimedia displays to other competitors.
The CRV has the best I’ve seen to date.
Not sure about the visisbility of the reverse cam on such small displays for the Nissan and Hyundai.

Saw the 1.5 turbo civic for $279k. Non turbo 1.6 is $239. The 1.5 comes with leather seats, sunroof, fog lamps, remote start and dual exhaust.
Is the $40,000 extra worth it?

That all depends on you and how much you value those extra features you listed. The 1.6 gets about 8-8.5km/l with conservative driving. The 1.5T should get better gas consumption, I would expect about 6-6.5km/L with more torque available at a lower rev range.

Those are the prices quoted for the 1.6T. They no longer bring the 2.0l and no diesel again either.
The fully loaded 1.6T is not bad either, panoramic sunroof, 4wd, blind spot detection, 19" wheels, 10 way powered driver seat, 8 way powered passenger seat, leather seats, auto tail gate, front and rear sensors, rear camera, reclining rear seat, adjustable projector lights. These were just the top off my head, there is a list of other features. Ill post up the pamphlet I got.

I went and look at one and the salesperson told me there were two versions of this car. A base model and high performance.

What i appreciate is your views on it . I new to Honda and interested in it.

Base model looks good but when i heard what the performance model had it caught my attention..I did not get to see to the 1.5 turbo as it was not in the showroom . So any information you can share with me i dont mind.

No more 2.0l?? Interesting. I have the 2.0l version (bought from the 1st batch they bought in). I wonder how will resale be affected by the company no longer bringing in that version.

As to the diesel version with the increased price of diesel I expected diesel crossovers to lose appeal very fast.

It means that once you have your financing in order and go into the showroom, make your payment and and the vehicle is in stock, they are sorting you out one time with insurance, registration etc and you literally drive out the same day. I think this is applicable to certain models only. Hope this helps.

It’s the registration part I’m wondering about as licensing office sometimes take a few days to provide a number. How are they getting past that hurdle?

Same as the other car except for the Turbo, sunroof, leather seats and fog lights. Turbo is nice, its not as aggressive and punchy feeling as the jetta I used to have but its good. 0 to 60 in the 8 sec range (US model gets their 1.5T in the 6 sec range). Turbo can get by with super, I have used both super/premium and detected no difference but I use prem. just out of superstition.

I would not use the term "high performance" to describe the turbo model. Even the Honda engineers who designed the car said they went turbo for economy and so the engine and transmission is tuned for such. Yes it has get up and go but its not that exciting.

Fuel econ is round the 6-7 l per 100KM range but on highway you can get that down to 5.5l per 100KM if you drive like a granny. Heavy traffic and its gets bad like around 10 -12L per 100 KM.

I had some little electrical gremlins with my car just little clicking noises that just seemed to sort itself out with time.
otherwise working well.

Thanks. Is it coming with the 1.2 or 1.3 engine? Do you have the spec list? It's got my interest.

It's the 1.2 engine mated a to a CVT, I think it's the same combination as the new swift. I don't have a spec sheet as yet but I know for sure it has bluetooth/audio steering controls, cruise control and full power windows. My only problem so far is the fact that it has only dual front airbags, especially considering the size.
