How's the vr4 suspension to you guys?
Did some work on a vrg fwd recently and it's very complicated vs a standard vehicle. Then again to ride is worth it.

Anyone can comment on the suspension parts that easily go. And those that can be replaced with a poly bushing kit.

I really like a vr4 and it's not priced aggressive. It's within means.
Recently checked a few foreign used parts places and they all had at least one vr4 front cut.

Guys, my dad's VR4 is stuck in 3 gear. He was using the tiptronic shifter and while in 5th gear it suddenly dropped into 3rd & now it's not coming out of that gear. The (N) neutral light is blinking while the (D) drive is on. He is driving it in normal auto mode. Anyone ever encountered this? I would appreciate your assistance.

It drives properly in auto mode?
Try scanning it. Might be a transmission code.
If it continues it would throw a code and go into limp mode

No, not properly like from 1st to 2nd to 3rd. It's stuck in 3rd gear so take off is fairly slow. It goes in reverse also...

tripplediamond wrote:Ok fellas, i did a vrg to vr4 conversion last year and i am really pleased with the car's performance so far, really impressive. However, i cant help but be tempted to upgrade the car... Ive done some minor things such as installing a copper clutch, and a walbro fuel pump. I would like those who have experience/ knowledge with these builds to lend some advice to what performance upgrades i can do to the car you know, do's and dont's... The car has stock boost at 9 psi, never raised and stock vr4 brakes, vr4 suspension... Feel free to give advice. 8-)

Lets see where this goes... Thanks guys. Image
