It all depends on the condition of the leather and how often it was taken care of in the past.

Btw you could also have hazing because you applied too many products too soon. You need to let them dry properly before applying another product

A sealant should ideally be used before a carnauba wax. Most Detailers use a sealant and usually top with a carnauba wax of choice to add a warmth glowing shine on darker colours. My advice is to try and use a sealant and maintain regularly with a carnuaba (if your vehicle is dark coloured for best results)

Just a quick question guys...
I want to go tomorrow to purchase some cleaning products for a new vehicle.

Looking to get stuff for a basic clean/wash, such as car wash liquid, wash cloth etc.
Where is the best local place to go to get these?

Soft micro fibre cloth.
I try not to use any product on the clear plastic for the instrument cluster. I use ICE interior detailer for the other plastics. I am open for input on products that can be used for the clear plastic on the instrument cluster.

Looking for quick tips on washing a new vehicle as I do not want to damage the new paint.
I've searched this thread several times but still haven't came across "the method".
If someone can give some quick advice and related products to use I'll be grateful

i took out the facing for mine and used 2500 sandpaper and gave it a wet sand, then washed it out and used some mothers polish on it, came back almost like new.

Daz no lie... My first couple spit shines (hose and mf cloth alone) after a proper wash does hold out longer and shine better

Products that I personally use

Meguiar's grit guard (or any similar product to keep your cloth from picking up debris that settles)
Pack of Micro fibre cloth...Pricesmart or similar
Turtle wax, wash and wax car wash

For polish and wax I have way too much but I like
Mother's cleaner wax
Turtle wax, wax n dry
Turtle wax ICE interior detailer and instant detailer.

If I have time to burn...
Autoglym super resin polish or meguiar's ultimate polish or 3m imperial hand glaze followed by meguiar's gold class carnuba plus.

For tyres... Armorall tyre foam or mothers back to black tyre shine
(turtle wax tyre products do not work well for me so I avoid them)

For tips...YouTube AMMO NYC best car wash technique

Meguiar's grit guard I bought by lubetech (meguiar's dealer)... However their prices tend to be a bit higher for the products as they do not want to directly compete with the retailers that they also supply.
Turtle Wax and mother's products are sourced from Anand low price supermarket just south of the creek or the tool store.

Please note...I am by no means an expert...I just use what works for me

Hey guys, I looking for a 6" hook and loop backing pad for my Porter Cable DA polisher, the one I bought online does not have a threaded shaft but a straight one. I need one with a male threaded shaft to screw into the polisher.
I have another polisher with the male part on the polisher and the backing plate has the female nut.

Anyone know where I can find one?
