for the guys asking for someone to build custom wood / glass display cases, PM me for the contact. He's based in Freeport. His work is excellent from what I've seen
any feedback on the cabinet maker guy? He did some cupboards for me and I am very satisfied....very neat work, delivered on time, very professional...he said now he's booked til Feb tho
lol , so another Lotus then :-p The Otto models are nicely detailed but nothing opens, not doors, not engine bay etc. The interior is nice once u peek thru the door window. Hard to get a nice Pikes peak Quattro, worse yet in 1:12, so I just had to grab this up....cost more than some Exotos Maybe too much for a model with no engine and suspension detail, but damn that car's a monster!!!!! I tempted to order their 1:18 Metro 6R4....55 euro plus S&H
Most of the resin models show better exterior detail that the die casts. Most of them, including the very costly ones have no opening features and detail at all. MR, Amalgam, Spark, Peako are all fantastic detail with no working features. They tend to pride themselves on the exactness of exterior detail, lines, decals etc. Most of the die casts look right but they are actually proportionally incorrect.
Spark have some nice 1:43 and a few 1:18 that right up your alley.
yup, same with the IXO models as well. I don't display models with doors open etc. I just the designs, altho it's cool once in a while to open an engine cover and marvel at the mechanical goodness....OTTO might be getting more of my money soon :-/
