^ ^ ^ Check if RPW in Australia, or Co-Ord Sport in UK still have bits for the '80s EX.

Another alternative is to source upgrades for front suspension (poly bushings, etc), bigger brakes (calipers, master cylinder etc.)... new/used steering-box... and upgraded wheels (5-hole rims from 15" -to- 16" and 7" -to- 9" wide and 5-stud hubs etc.) from Starion Dealers & Aftermarket Shops in the USA. eBay (& Craigs List?) are other good sources for Starion bits.

Right now (eBay) I'm finishing a buy from California for Starion bits for my rwd 1800 GSR.
I'm going radical with it... Conservative power & torque (210 bhp for reliability) but with GREAT handling & brakes.

RBR Lancer 1800 GTX (A175X) Prototype...
4G93T (from 4wd 1800 GSR) + Adapter & OEM 5-speed or RX7 box
+ 5-stud hubs + 16" X 8" Starion rims + Evo 6 Brembos (front & rear)
+ Starion front struts & springs + Starion I.R.S. (incl. Starion rear floorpan transplant)

Doing the two Evo 6s first... but Starion bits were available now, so I had to get them.

The Evo 6s are great, especially the 'dex E6... but the Lancer GSR with IRS interests me just as much, if not more.

@ capstar a bonnet real hard to find in good condition, u can get a good used one if u look around, i actually have a guys number who has a used one...

hyper fas has a front cut out in the rain i begged them to sell the bonnet, but they dont wanna break the half, they insist on selling complete.......

In the ToyRoom under cover from day one!
Going to remove 1.4L engine, drivetrain & suspension this weekend and mount it in the rotisserie.

parts are not only hard to find but very expensive....a door is like 2K...bonnet/trunk $1500 a piece.....

Sorry but other than what's listed above, I'm not selling any other parts from the Lancer 1.4 EX "Donor" car... even after the project is finished.
Spare parts (especially body panels and miscellaneous "trim") are already impossible to find locally.
An Evo owner in the UK just paid 700 (sterling) for a quarter panel. Locally (@ about $9.65:1 + air-freight, duty & VAT) that's almost $8,000 TT.
New quarter panels are not even available locally... even for NEW cars.
If I had to buy NEW parts for the build it would cost more than a new car locally. That's why I paid top dollar for it...

So this would be a OEM parts total?
2 x quarter panels ...... = $16,000 ??
2 x front fenders ........ = $ 1,500 ??
4 x doors @ $2000 .......= $ 8,000
1 x wind-screen - front = $ 3,000 (laminated) ??
1 x wind-screen - rear. = $ 1,500 (heated) ??
1 x bonnet ...............= $ 1,500
1 x trunk lid .............= $ 1,500
............................. ________
.. Sub-total: .......... = $33,000 ???

What about the rest of it??

Engine & 5-speed gear-box... Steering, suspension & brakes... Headlights, tail-lights & "new" wiring harness... Interior upholstery... Door, bonnet & trunk gaskets... ALL body trim... Engine bay bits... OEM (cadmium-plated) bolts, nuts, washers & hinges etc... ALL OEM body panels to replace ALL rusty panels on my GSR???

I thought I paid TOO MUCH... but now it looks like I got a bargain!

Looks like 'EX' parts are almost impossible to find now. I was going to dump my rusty body panels...
but at this rate, I better keep them to make molds for fibreglass copies after the GTX project is done.
