Jaguar Restoration.to do, or not to do...thats the question

Postby nos_specialist » March 16th, 2015, 10:07 pm

Good evening tuners, SOO A neighbour of mine has a Jaguar XJ6 Daimler series 1 scrapped down and parked up..

the body looks solid, buttt it has surface rust...

he says, he has most of the parts to rebuild it, but time is the issue... I can get it to buy for $15,000.00

What you all think?, is it worth the time, effort, and money to restore a vehicle like this?..

This would of been the goal when restoring the vehicle..

Time and money, once you can afford both it would be a decent project

Plenty $$$ cause he sure ain't gonna have all or even good parts for a proper restore, I'd say do a budget before and have at least $200k to start the process

cater an easy 150k plus for a proper restoration....Jag parts not cheap, and they are complex cars to repair, especially after being neglected...when you done, expect to sell it for 60-100k
If your pockets deep and you doing it for the love of it, then go for it....
