First vehicle- Nissan Wingroad or Toyota Fielder

Postby vally » May 10th, 2015, 10:29 am

I going to order my vehicle in the few weeks and thinking between a RORO Nissan Wingroad or a RORO Toyota Fielder. Anyone can tell me the pro and cons of each vehicle. Thanks

Pros of the Toyota Fielder

-Higher resale value
-More reliable
-Once maintained properly,it will last you a very long time

Cons
-Original parts might be a little more pricey but worth it

IMO the fielder is the better buy.We have a foreign used one and nothing major has been changed yet.Just fluids and brakes shoes and pads.

If you on a budget, the wingroad might be for you. Wingroad parts are cheaper and more available than for the fielder. If you can afford it though, the fielder is the superior car. But as said above, parts are a little more costly.

Honestly, the only reason I could see someone purchasing a wingroad over a fielder (other than brand loyalty) is that parts are cheaper and more available....

any reason for needing a wagon?
they are generally more expensive and since its a first car and all.....
if you can afford to put out cash up front, it may be a good idea to look at the local market for a used small suv like a rav4, crv or xtrail....

Why not a wagon as a first vehicle?

I've also been looking at the local used market and the kind of prices persons are calling for some of the local vehicles, better I put a buy a RORO.

I have owned 3 fielders and also a couple wingroads in family incl latest model.
No comparison at all. The older 121 fielder is probably very similar to current wingroad ride quality.

The 141 fielder handles way better and more stable.
Also don't forget the majority of cradle bushing work done by machine shops is Nissan...

Toyota cvt is very good too, deceptive, speed will run up to 120-140km easily without you knowing on highway.
However like cvt oil changes are a little costly (for all manufacturers)

I prefer the Fielder but that is at my maximum budget (i.e. broke for the next few months). The cost of a Wingroad giving me a little more wiggle room financially but my heart not into it. I just want to make sure the Fielder worth the sacrifice.

my suggestion is for you to wait a couple months and save some additional cash as you at your max budget then choose the fielder if you area planning on keeping the car for a few years

Fielder all the way.....a co worker bought a wingroad this week and he coasting that's it an aero......Man this thing has the flare side kit...but no fogs and no electri antennae.....and pretty simple inside and out.....

He regrets not going with the fielder....dealer told him aero was fully loaded but guess it just wasn't....bad buy buddy...

Was going to create my own thread but since this one is here already will ask here.
First vehicle and on small budget around 50K.
Options are AD Expert, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift and Toyota Passo.
Not good options but it'll have to do.
Any advice?

hey look on trinicarsforsale you can find a fielder with way less mileage for that price. 80km for 90k is too much. i saw one with 53km for 75k
