I went and checked out a few places. L24 engine and trans. Selling for 4k complete with ac compressor. I'll keep it carbed. 32/36 weber selling for 3k brand new. Full conversion.

The voice box not working. Never heard it. Will peep tomorrow, need to take out the bumper. Welder called me and told me to bring it Monday to start working on it.

I'm not going to spend money going fuel injected. I'll keep this carbed with some suspension and brake upgrades and keep I for a cruiser. Its working pretty decent right now.also these tend to hold value in stock condition .

Ohyea. I'll post more pics tomorrow. Place wet today.

Not too bad dude! Looks great, just needs some TLC and it will be an epic cruiser!

By chance any plans for a music system? Even a small set up?

Needs plenty TLC but I'm working thru it.
Will be installing either a deck and 4 speakers but I'm leaning towards a pair of 8" ,tweets and a sub in box 12" or something. Something simple. One amp. Redo a fiberglass backdash, paint it uber clean.

Spoke with the welder. Going in tomorrow. Installed a few switches today in the centre console. One for the trunk actuator and the other for the gas tank.

Right now I'm wondering if to remain 4 hole and go 5.

For the back 280c axles work and just redrilling my hubs.
For the front. S13 shocks and Springs. C35 spindle. Stock lower cradles.

If I going 4 hole. I'll just go with the s13 shock and spring with either a a31 or a s13 spindle.
Back shocks would just be changed and springs either cut or something like that.

So passed by the welder today. Plenty progress. Decided to take out the front windshield to Sort out what taking place. Some small bumps appeared.
So he fixing that one time.

The back looking excellent but took it out and it's worst than the front. Good thing the man took it out one time.

Big up Patrick.

Well i forget to take the pics, going back today and definitely would post them up.
Really really lost my Zeal with this project.
Nobody helping me out. No ideas noting. Everything that can go wrong, going wrong. But i fighting thru it. Any ole car i buy ill have to do the same thing so best i stick with this.

As i get it back from the welder, i going to seal and undercoat the two back arches and the chassis and pack it down. Paint out inside the car and the floor.

Eventually ill get someone to do paint job or do it myself.
Im looking at a matte paint job Something almost like primer colour.

hell even primer alone could work. But i dont know how this would react to the elements?

any ideas?

engine swap on hold because my engine/trans works perfectly. Eventually ill change the engine and remove the two front fenders and repaint back the engine bay and apron.

I really want to learn to paint, i looked at a few online tutorials and it seems to be OK but i have no idea about materials and how they would react. so i don't want to drop some paint and its gonna flake out due to the lack of proper preparation.

stick with it man. Restos are pain and heartbreak and frustration but you just need to stick to your plan. I can't tell you how many times I've felt to roll my cars down a precipice, toss a container of gas and pent a flambeau behind them

Its a learning experience and a mission. If you have the patience your car will come out how you imagine it to be.

Mine has been in the family over 17 yrs and i've been fixing since last year and cant even finish yet. The number of cuts n wounds i got so far it aint funny lol. Parts for these are not readily available and when they are its not cheap.

Fix the rust and seal it properly. The beauty of these is the straight body and chrome trimming. Paint it back to an original colour because when youre ready to sell you will get more money for it. Im assuming youre a younger person and like speed and looks but at the end of the day you want your project to be fun and affordable. These engines may not be that fast but its a reasonable speed with a good suspension once working properly.

The welder called me today and said it's finished. Totally excited. Didn't see it since Tuesday maybe. Gonna post some pics tomorrow. Windscreen front and back going in hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday. Depending on what day the guy has free.

You cannot believe how long I waiting on this car.
I'm going to take it straight out from the garage after the welding and go underwash it.

Gonna seal up the car and undercoat it. Blitz the below and paint the interior. Would like to blitz the entire thing but it's very costly and won't be exposed to any elements like below the car.

Gonna do it myself. Already have a compressor and a blitz gun is pretty reasonable (200-300$). Good diy project.

OK. Got the car. Windscreen went in. Took it and underwash and finished the welding. Painted inside the car. The floor and part of the trunk.

Sun was extremely hot today so didn't push myself. Tomorrow I'm going to finish it up. No pics yet but tomorrow expect a few. Have to clean out the Nickle to install.

Oh yea and laurel does swing easy easy with stock rims and thin tyres
