Everything "looks" like OEM... but DAMN! . . . just not Image Lancer 1800 GSR OEM!...

I want a true "hybrid"... Vauxhall front suspension... Image Starion I.R.S... Image Evo 6 RS steering-rack & Brembo brakes...
with a transverse 1.8L Image 4G93T mounted "in-line" for RWD. After it's built I'll add CNG for cheaper running costs.
Totally stock looking "outside"... but very little of the 1800 GSR "box" Lancer left "inside"... and most important...
one of the BEST handling, steering, stopping and most comfortable "daily driver" box Lancers ever built... Period! 8-)

Somehow... fabricated suspension bits (or any other 'major' component) just doesn't fit.

Sanctifier So what you basically building is a Box Lancer that surpasses that of the original?
hmmmm admire your patience with your builds.

P.S. Mitsubishi made a new model box lancer, platform CZ4A i think. take a look.

Yup, I think I remember that model too.

BTW just a couple thoughts... since GroceryGetter is a "GT" (daily-use, hi-performance, luxury cruiser) it's only fair to compare it to a similar new Lancer... like the RalliArt, not so?
Sanctifier wrote:Also...
1) CZ4A (Evo X) now is just as obsolete as the older A175A... (RalliArt will follow soon.)

2) Lancer RalliArt (2.0L Turbo) @ 237 bhp & 3,461 lbs = 14.6 lb/bhp Power:Weigh Ratio.
.. GroceryGetter (1.8L Turbo) @ 205 bhp & 2,600 lbs :?: = 12.7 lb/bhp Power:Weigh Ratio.. (Lancer Turbo=2,370 lbs)

3) Lancer RalliArt weighs 1,091 lbs MORE than a Lancer 2000 Turbo... Maybe 861 lbs (?) MORE than GroceryGetter?
So with bigger brakes... better suspension & steering... equal tyre size... lighter weight... and better Power:Weight Ratio... its logical to assume that GroceryGetter should have much better performance than a newer RalliArt, not so?

Might be wrong but IMHO that will be VERY 8-) for a DIY "daily driver" prototype... especially one that looks totally "OEM."
