If it's a white one with louvers at the back it belongs to an old man in Laventille who doesn't wanna sell.

Hmm, can't remember seeing any around Aranguez, there's a camaro there that's black. This wouldn't happen to be the one by the hardware on the main road would it?

^^interesting analogy and comparison... just goes to show just how much the values of classic cars have risen.
Just 8 yrs ago you could have gotten that same 73 in T&T for around $15g....but now the internet and cable has "opened" the eyes ah d yout! But sadly only about 3 of thoise 73s exist in T&T...so its either pay or buy something else.

A 73 in top condition went for $75,000us at an auction last month....imagine that a 40yr old dead horse out valuing a new-er car.

And in 40 years from now it'll double that too.

Cars like that in Trinidad are often not restored with original parts. I've seem cars with autozone gauges, shift knobs, cheezy vinyl reups... It's hard to compare what a basic restored car in the US would sell for given the quality of work and parts available.

That year would be hard to find... not a lot of people that could afford that car imported to TnT were in the market for it but there are one or two around and the owners are often hard pressed to part with them. Even if the car is in bad condition, I'd say expect to pay more 60-80k TTD if you can find one.

Maybe you'll be lucky and run into some grandma in deep south that keep she son sports car locked up in a hyperbaric chamber and she only thinks it's worth $6995 because the battery dead...
