Are you speaking of the bushing for the shifter linkage cable? A little suggestion, you can work up something else to work here This linkage is similar to the ones on toyota vehicles.
Did you try ROC, FAIZ, Southern Sales, A1 Auto Supplies?
Seeing as it is a hard part to get, Id say yes, trust me, parts for these vans not cheap.
But as i said there are other methods to fix this. Firstly, the bracket that sends the pin thru the bushing and locks into place will need to be replaced. You will need to retrofit a bracket with a long bolt and use that as your pin. Make sure the cable loop where the bushing is can pass through the bolt. Now on the other side of the bolt you need to drill a small hole perpendicular which you can use a split pin(same pin that locks your castle nut in the tie rod end). Lock the split pin in place and you fully functional again.
Only downside with these cables is eventually it will happen again and you need to replace again. The solution I posted above should last longer, been over 3 years for me and no problems.
Btw you have a name and number for the place in La Romaine, and do they carry genuine parts?
I going by the place today. The directions i got was if you are coming from la romaine, when you reach the T junction by the traffic lights go across, proceed to pass danny/darren (not sure) car sales place - the road splits in two/y so you proceed on the right side road (minor road) and when proceeding its a white and blue building on the left side.
I am not really familiar with this problem. My mechanic told me 1) The existing bushing broke in pieces so it cant be fixed. 2) Obtaining a used bushing from lets say a crashed ranger may cause problems as it may also brake while attempting to take it out. 3) He said all I needed was a new bushing.
The place in la romaine noted that they sell the bushing and cable together.
