Wait, What? KIA Offering Sexy-ish Vehicles?

Postby shogun » January 16th, 2017, 9:35 pm

That KIA badge needs to be re-imagined.

They've come a long way, for sure...

To me it still looks like an optima with visual hints from other vehicle designs.

considering the price of the Optima I could see the base in this hovering around that price indeed

Even with a former Audi designer and a former BMW head of technology.

You use the same engineers, same parts providers, same leather providers, same switch manufacturers and is pressure...

Badge worship will keep allyuh back yes.

One of the best statements there.

Technology > status goals

Darn good effort by Kia tbh...

That will turn heads down here for those that don't know about it.

Beautiful car. Thing is the base engine is already a 2.0T which will allow it to have higher duty and mvt than many other premium vehicles with small displacement turbo engines. Typically, most locals in the market for a $375k - $450k entry level luxury car would not buy such a Kia (only if they really love it and determined to get it), over the likes of the Benz a, b, cla, gla and c class. Right now you can get a well equipped c class for $420k. Similar for the BMW 318i and Audi a4 2.0T.

Perhaps SS and Kia could surprise us with a $350k price?

Maybe because of this guy; Peter Schreyer (former designer for Audi) and now president of KIA.

Also the guy from BMW's M Division (at Hyundai N Division at least). They both are what's making the difference.....plus KIA generally taking serious risks.
