McClaren is set to announce the McLaren 720S at the Geneva Motor Show, which kicks off in March, but one photo of the car recently surfaced on Instagram. Oops!
Instagram user Lamborghiniks recently published the above picture of the car, noting that it’s going to be the official successor to the McLaren 650S. The car is allegedly known as P14 internally. You’ll note that it offers an all-new look when compared to the McLaren 650S. Indeed, notice how the door ducts now face backward instead of toward the front of the car. Notice the redesigned headlines, too, which look like massive triangles, almost teardrop in shape.
AutoBlog, which first spotted the Instagram post, said that it believes the 720S moniker points to “720 metric horsepower, or roughly 710 horsepower on the SAE scale.” Little else is known about the car, but we can’t wait to learn more come March when it’s fully announced at the Geneva Motor Show.
