2010 mazda 3 dashboard

For the past months my sister has been amarollin her dash-had no knowledge of this. Jumped in her car only to see the dash actually melting. Its very soft. I can dig into it with my nails.its super shiny and attracts shitloads of dust and hair etc. Pretty gross. Any ideas hiw to remedy this. Either it gets covered or last resort another dash. Where csn i get a dash. Called around bamboo and no leads. Help!

Do a carbon wrap. Or get a foreign used one.

Carbon wrap is vinyl, so it won't work. The coating on the dash is ( like the bluebird Sylphy ) a sort of gummy material when soft. What I did with a Mazda 3 dash was to re- upholster it. You couldn't tell the difference.

Any upholsterer can do it. Hosein in El socorro. Bobby in Longdenville old Rd. Karan in Welcome Rd all did for me and they came out good.

Some charge $1200 to $1800, but one of hosein's workers does it as a pj for around $800.
