There is no time stipulation when imported from registered roll on roll off dealer/Business on their licence, but if a personal import licence was applied for under owner of vehicles name then there is a 3 year time constraint, usually a stamp on certified copy indicates vehicle cannot be transferred under 3 years. That's why a few dealers sell at at least a 5k less when you buy from them on your personal name. Buyers who buy from company under their licence can sell immediately.

I think he's asking if you can buy then sell yourself... I'm also curious now after evolv x comments.

So If one buys a car from a RORO dealer who imported it under the RORO company name... then the retail car buyer can immediately turn around and sell it ? I always thought there was a 2 or 3 year limit, regardless of if you buy local or import it yourself.

once you provide a letter indicating why selling prematurely ( lost job, car too small etc) you will be given permission to sell within a week or so.
you will however have to provide excellent justification to be allowed to import a RORO within the 3 year timeframe after being allowed to sell.
